FRANK LAMPARD REFUSES TO BE DRAWN AS JACK RUDONI ‘OWNS’ COVENTRY CITY SUCCESS STORY

Frank Lampard refuses to be drawn as Jack Rudoni ‘owns’ Coventry City success story

Coventry City news from CoventryLive as Frank Lampard discusses star man’s progress with the Sky Blues.

Frank Lampard thinks star midfielder Jack Rudoni is “owning” his “success story” at Coventry City, but refused to comment on the player’s contract issue.

The Sky Blues manager believes the player has gone from strength to strength since initially taking command at the CBS Arena last November, and was thrilled that the club was able to keep him in the summer, barely 12 months into his four-year contract at the CBS Arena.

However, owner Doug King stood fast, and City retained their prized asset, who was reported last week to be “close” to agreeing on a new and improved deal to further secure his services.

When asked if the talkSPORT allegation was true, Lampard neither confirmed nor denied it, saying: “I’m not going to answer about contracts of players.”

He did, however, underline the importance of keeping the player this summer and appreciated his contribution to both the squad and the club.
