Recruiting Ripple Effect
Odom’s commitment could now have a domino effect. He’s close friends with fellow elite DL targets Isaiah Crowell (California) and Marcus “Tank” Griggs (Texas), both of whom are high on Alabama’s board. Odom has already hinted that he’s ready to start recruiting others to join him in Tuscaloosa.
> “I’m going after the best. If we want to win titles, we’ve got to bring in dogs,” Odom said. “Let’s build something special.”

National Reactions
The reaction across the college football world has been swift and emphatic.
Former Alabama great Jonathan Allen: “That kid is a monster. Bama’s trenches are going to be nasty again real soon.”
Rivals analyst Adam Gorney: “This is a massive recruiting win. Alabama went into North Carolina and beat out local powers like Clemson and UNC. That speaks volumes.”
Even current Alabama players expressed excitement, with linebacker Deontae Lawson tweeting:
> “Welcome to the family, big dawg! Let’s work.”
