24-year-old Leicester City man attracts Chelsea, West Ham interest
Leicester City goalkeeper Mads Hermansen is the subject of interest from Chelsea and West Ham, the Daily Mail has said.
Leicester City are in the midst of a very uncertain summer following the drop back to the Championship. LCFC are currently managerless and financial issues rumble on in the background.
All the while, the Foxes must deal with the inevitable departures that relegation prompts. Key players and assets are sure to depart for higher leagues and there is not a shortage of interest at this early stage of the summer.

One man widely tipped for a move elsewhere is goalkeeper Mads Hermansen, who made a decent impression in the Premier League despite City’s struggles.
Now, the Daily Mail reports that the Leicester City man has caught the eye of Premier League duo Chelsea and West Ham.
Both the Blues and the Hammers have interest in the 24-year-old, who is likely to be sold in this window. The latter are in need of a new number one for Graham Potter, while former LCFC boss Enzo Maresca – who brought Hermansen to the King Power Stadium – is in charge at Stamford Bridge.
Hermansen is under contract until 2028 having signed a five-year deal upon arrival two years ago.

It was a dismal year all around for Leicester City as they suffered the drop from the Premier League, and Hermansen only managed one clean sheet in 27 games, conceding a hefty 58 goals along the way.
However, it goes without saying that the Dane was given very little help by the defence in front of him. Often when called upon, Hermansen did well, and his ability with the ball at his feet is sure to appeal to managers like Maresca and Potter.
Aged 24, he already has a fine base of club experience while boasting all the time in the world ahead of him to refine and develop his game further.
Who would take the number one shirt?

Danny Ward was released at the end of his contract and has since signed for Wrexham. That leaves Hermansen and 24-year-old Jakub Stolarczyk on the books as the only senior goalkeeper options at the club.
Stolarczyk produced some decent performances when called upon during Hermansen’s injury and he may well hope that a chance to become LCFC number one lays ahead.
However, the new manager – whoever that may be – may well look to entrust a more experienced option with the starting berth. At least one more goalkeeper will certainly be signed, but it will be intriguing to see if they are brought in as a likely starter or someone to compete for the place with Stolarczyk.
