On Saturday, Kylian Mbappe played his final match as a Paris Saint-Germain player – in the process, he collected his last title as the Ligue 1 champions defeated Lyon 2-1 in the Coupe de France final. Soon, he will be on his way to Real Madrid.
Mbappe has already announced that he will be leaving PSG at the end of his contract, although no official word has been released on his next move. This has been deliberately done by Real Madrid, as they do not want anything to distract them ahead of the Champions League final next Saturday.
Mbappe is currently a taboo subject within the walls at Los Blancos, but according to Relevo, the idea is for his long-awaited arrival to be officially announced in the days after next weekend’s showpiece event at Wembley Stadium. The 25-year-old could even be unveiled by Florentino Perez before joining up with France ahead of Euro 2024.
However, the final point is more complicated, as he is still contracted to PSG until the 30th of June. As such, it’s likely that Real Madrid supporters will have to wait for their first glimpse of Mbappe, although it will surely be worth it.
