In a refreshingly candid interview, the designer and former Spice Girl peeled back the curtain on life with husband David Beckham, revealing that even the world’s most handsome man isn’t perfect.
“Let me tell you, I wear earplugs — and it’s not for fun,” Victoria joked. “He might look like that, but even my husband snores.”
The 51-year-old, whose new Netflix documentary series celebrates her professional and personal evolution, spoke with warmth, humour, and vulnerability about her 26-year marriage, her battles with imposter syndrome, and her journey with therapy.
“Yes, I’ve had therapy,” she admitted. “I think it’s really healthy. It’s something that’s so acceptable and positive to talk about now, and I’m happy to say I’ve had it.”
The fashion mogul reflected on how she’s worked tirelessly — through 14-hour days and early-morning workouts — to establish herself as a serious designer after years of being underestimated. “Only now do I feel I’ve earned my right to show in Paris,” she said. “I finally feel I don’t have anything to prove. I am enough.”
She also described her and David’s relationship as grounded and balanced: “We still have a lot of fun together. We do normal things — go to our local pub, have lunch, talk about art and wine. And he makes me laugh. I think that’s the most important thing.”
Despite their global fame and £500 million empire, Victoria insists that the Beckhams’ strongest asset is their bond as a family. “As a family, we try to have dinner together every night. It’s phones down, and everyone shares what they’ve done that day,” she said.
