Incoming Real Madrid starlet Endrick was today drawn on the prospect of linking up with Kylian Mbappé in Spain’s capital.
Carlo Ancelotti’s Real frontline is of course in line to be added to by not one, but two new faces this summer.
As much comes with Endrick at last set to link up with his new teammates at the Santiago Bernabéu, and the aforementioned Mbappé’s unveiling as a Blancos player now viewed as imminent.
Such arrivals will reinforce what is already a star-studded crop of attacking talent in Madrid, featuring the likes of Vinícius Jr, Rodrygo, Brahim Díaz, Joselu, and Arda Güler.
Safe to say, then, that competition for places is set to be at an all-time high amongst the La Liga champions’ ranks in 2024/25.
After sitting down for an interview with Diario AS this week, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of as much was put to youngster Endrick.
Specifically, he was asked whether he views Kylian Mbappé as a ‘threat’ to his prospects at his new club.
The Brazilian international, however, provided a response befitting a player much his senior, in assuring that at a club like Real Madrid, the goals of the collective outweigh those of the individual:
“In a winning group, no player is a threat to another. The best club in the world always has to look for the best in all positions, always. Being next to great players and competing for a position with them is only going to make me improve, reach a higher level and win more titles, because the club’s titles are the most important goals.”
