Arsenal could finally sign Jonathan David this summer. According to the French newspaper L’Equipe,

The Canadian forward has emerged as a potential transfer target for ARSENAL over the past few months, as the Gunners will be desperate to add a new striker to that attack with a few weeks left of the transfer window.

Ivan Toney of Brentford and Victor Osimhen of Napoli are two other players that ARSENAL are interested in – but David would represent a cheaper alternative to the other two as his valuations is only about £50 million.

Now it has been claimed that Arsenal could FINALLY sign the 24-year-old striker has turned down the chance to join Roma, despite still being keen to leave Lille.

David has been heavily linked with an exit from Stade Pierre-Mauroy for a while now following his impressive performances in Ligue 1. Despite catching the eye, the Canadian international has remained at Lille.

The Gunners will need to make sure that they sign players that can make an immediate impact – big named players that will send a message to the rest of the Premier League – David is very good.

It will be very interesting to see just who ARSENAL try and sign in the summer – but we do believe that David is not the answer to the clubs problems as he does have the potential to be a great striker.

He has the movement and energy that Mikel Arteta wants in that attack – and for the £50 million – he could be seen as a real transfer bargain.

If Arsenal seriously want to sign Jonathan David – then now is the best time to get a transfer deal done for the player – there may not be another chance for the Gunners.
