Loose Women favourite Stacey Solomon was left completely stunned after David Beckham personally sent her a surprise parcel – along with a handwritten note – days after she sent him what she called a “cringe” Instagram voice message.
The 35-year-old star admitted she had messaged Beckham asking for beekeeping advice, since she’s starting her own hive at her Essex home, Pickle Cottage. Thinking he’d never see it, she laughed that she’d probably just embarrassed herself forever. But to her shock, a parcel soon arrived from The Beckhams themselves.
“I’ve been sent a parcel from… the Beckhams. How sweet that he actually replied to an Instagram!” Stacey told fans in disbelief. Inside, she found a box of honey snacks and a note from David reading: “To Stacey and Joe, I hope you enjoy the honey and snacks. Lots of love, David Beckham.”
Overjoyed, Stacey couldn’t hide her excitement: “I’ve got David Beckham’s autograph! What a time to be alive! This is the best thing ever! Thanks David, we love you.”
Her husband, Joe Swash, however, wasn’t quite as amused, joking: “He better not reply – I don’t need David Beckham as competition! I’ve got dogs, ducks, the last thing I need is David Beckham!”
David, who keeps bees at his £12 million Cotswolds estate, has turned the hobby into a business venture with his brand BEEUP, creating honey-based snacks for kids. “Beekeeping began as a hobby with my sons,” he previously said, “but it quickly grew into a deep appreciation for honey as a powerful superfood.”
