Victoria Beckham is opening up about the struggles she’s faced as a celebrity parent.
The 51-year-old mother of four got candid about the difficulties of raising kids in the spotlight in a new interview on Today with Jenna & Friendson Wednesday, Oct. 15.
“How do you cope today reading headlines about your kids?” Zanna Roberts Rassi asked Victoria about her and David Beckham’s kids Brooklyn Beckham, 26, Romeo Beckham, 23, Cruz Beckham, 20, and Harper Beckham, 14.

“Oh my gosh, it’s so horrible,” the fashion designer admitted. “For me and David, the way we communicate with our children is so important.”

She later added, “I’m so proud of all of the kids. They are kind. They work hard.”
As for false perceptions surrounding her, Victoria said, “There’s been so many stories about me, so many other people telling my stories over the years.”
Speculation surrounding Victoria and David’s seemingly tense relationship with their eldest son, Brooklyn, and their daughter-in-law, Nicola Peltz Beckham, has been ongoing for years.
In May 2025, a source told PEOPLE that “every time they finally have a happy moment, it all falls apart again.”
“They’ve tried to make peace,” the insider said. “Brooklyn feels torn. It’s his family and blood, but he’s always had a complicated relationship with his dad. A lot of their relationship has felt like ‘business.’ “

Brooklyn missed David’s 50th birthday celebration in May and was noticeably absent at the recent premiere of Victoria’s Netflix docuseries, Victoria Beckham, earlier this month.
After Brooklyn and Nicola missed David’s birthday event and other Beckham family functions, a source told PEOPLE that their relationship was strained — but it didn’t have to be permanent.
“The relationship is definitely not beyond repair,” the source said. “They love and are always there for him. They’re just hurt and disappointed that he’s now playing no part in family life.”
While on the show, Victoria also discussed her parenting strategy and whether she allows daughter Harper to be on social media.
“She does have social media,” Victoria added. “But I think that our approach is to not say no, but to make sure you’re being responsible.”
