Arsenal Consider Overhaul of Security Protocols

In the aftermath of the event, more details have emerged suggesting that Arsenal were not at all happy with McGregor’s appearance on the pitch. Per The Times, the Gunners have now begun an internal inquiry into how the MMA star got onto the pitch.

The Premier League outfit reportedly found out that the 36-year-old and his entourage received VIP tickets through a third party called 1 Access. Consequently, the club have vowed to avoid a report of the episode, as they consider a permanent change to their security protocols.

It’s also noted that the play fighting with Saka ‘was most worrying for the manager Arteta’, because he aimed kicks and knees in the player’s direction, and then grabbed the Arsenal player as though he were about to throw him. The Gunners are said to be keen to distance themselves from the McGregor “brand”, given the number of controversial incidents that the 36-year-old fighter has been involved in.
