Victoria Beckham has officially stepped into her new royal-adjacent role, finally confirming that she is now “Lady Beckham” following her husband David’s knighthood by King Charles.

The former Spice Girls star, 51, had remained noticeably quiet about the title since David was made a Sir last month, despite the fact that the honour automatically grants his wife the courtesy style of Lady. But during a candid appearance on What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Victoria put the matter to rest once and for all.

Addressing the designer directly, host Andy Cohen laid it out plainly, reminding viewers that David Beckham is now officially Sir David Beckham. When he followed up by asking whether that made her Lady Victoria, Victoria replied without hesitation: “I am Lady Beckham.”

And when Andy cheekily asked whether she might prefer the title “Lady Posh,” nodding to her Spice Girls alter ego, Victoria laughed it off, joking: “Listen, whatever you want – whatever you want, anything for you.”

Despite confirming her new status on air, Victoria has yet to update her social media profiles, suggesting she is still easing into the idea of using the title publicly. While the courtesy title comes automatically, its use is entirely optional – something Victoria appears to be navigating on her own terms.

David was knighted at an emotional ceremony at Windsor Castle last month, watched proudly by Victoria and his parents, Sandra and Ted. The moment marked what David later described as the “proudest” achievement of his career, three decades after his Manchester United debut.

Celebrations continued later that day with a family gathering alongside children Romeo, Cruz and Harper, with David joking that they could now call him “Sir Dad.” However, the happy occasion was tinged with lingering family tensions, as eldest son Brooklyn was once again absent amid reports of an ongoing rift.

Marking the milestone, Victoria shared a heartfelt tribute to her husband, saying that from the moment she met him nearly 30 years ago, he had always been proud to represent England. She praised his humility, kindness and dedication as both a husband and father, adding that she had “never felt prouder” than seeing him honoured by the King.

Messages of congratulations quickly poured in from the Beckham family’s famous friends, with Kris Jenner and Gemma Oaten among those applauding the couple’s latest chapter.

For now, Victoria may be taking her time embracing the title publicly – but one thing is clear: Lady Beckham has officially arrived.
