He doesn’t get enough credit as much as Saka and Saliba and yet he’s the most amazing player in the team”- Arsenal defender Ben White says Arsenal have a ‘scary’ player who doesn’t get the credit he deserves
Ben White says Arsenal have a ‘scary’ player who doesn’t get the credit he deserves
There has been a lot of talk about Arsenal’s incredible defence this season.
The Gunners have been solid at the back, and many of their defenders have received due credit
Riccardo Calafiori has been hailed after his arrival, Jurrien Timber has received so much praise, while William Saliba is always in the headlines.
Gabriel Magalhaes is another important part of this Arsenal backline, but, sometimes, he doesn’t quite get the credit he deserves compared to his peers.
Speaking to Amazon, Ben White has been full of praise for Gabriel, claiming that while William Saliba gets most of the limelight, Magalhaes is also an unbelievable player.

White spoke about how much he rates Gabriel.
The defender claims that the Brazilian is scary from set-pieces and that the threat he brings from those dead-ball situations is amazing.

Darren Bent says Gabriel is better than Saliba
White says that Saliba gets more of the spotlight than Gabriel, and while that is true in most circles, not everyone has that view.
Indeed, Darren Bent has recently claimed that Gabriel is better than Saliba.

“And the reason why I have gone Gabriel over Saliba is because set plays and the goals, set plays and the goals.”
Of course, being a centre-back is about a lot more than scoring goals, but it has to be said that Gabriel’s attacking contributions have been incredibly important to Arsenal’s success this season.
Arsenal can’t rely too much on Gabriel’s goalscoring contributions, but his attacking output may well be the difference between winning the league and finishing second the third year running
