Arsenal have been dealt a major boost ahead of their huge Premier League game against the league leaders Liverpool on Sunday afternoon, in what many are calling the Gunners’ most important game of the season so far.
Heading into the must-win game this weekend, Arsenal were dealt a triple injury blow as it was revealed that Bukayo Saka, Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori were all major doubts, with Mikel Arteta having said: “We are going to do our very best to somehow have them available. But it’s very, very uncertain,” during his pre-match press conference on Friday.
But now, according to images circulating on X (formerly Twitter), Saka and Timber are both with the Arsenal squad at the team hotel ahead of Sunday’s crucial game against Arne Slot’s Liverpool side.
According to previous comments from Arteta, Saka has participated in some level of training throughout the week, despite not appearing during the session when Sky Sports’ cameras were present on Friday, while Timber has been continuing his recovery in recent weeks.
Despite the huge boost, the images of Saka and Calafiori should be taken with a pinch of salt, however, due to the fact that injured Arsenal players have previously travelled with the squad before not being in the squad at all, due to Arteta not wanting to give opposition managers any insight ahead of the game.
