An important Arsenal star who was nominated for the prestigious Ballon d’Or award skipped the ceremony on Monday, 28 October 2024 as they instead opted to attend the 2024 Global Gift Gala in London.
The annual gala is a charitable event which seeks to improve the lives of children, women and families in vulnerable situations around the world, which supports local charities and trusts from around the world too in a bid to aid their mission.
The attendance of a number of key Arsenal stars should come as no surprise, given that the Arsenal Foundation, the charitable and community arm of Arsenal, were a beneficiary foundation of this year’s Global Gift Gala, meaning that they benefit from the proceeds raised so that they continue with their vital work.
