Victor Osimhen has demanded a break clause as part of his deal with Galatasaray which would allow him to join Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool in the January transfer window, according to reports in Turkey.
Osimhen had been holding out for a move to the Premier League having turned down the chance to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli, whose €80 million (£67.3m) offer was accepted by Napoli last month.
Arsenal have been told it is “obvious” that they should sign Victor Osimhen, with the Gunners’ current first-choice No.9 Kai Havertz “nowhere near” the world class level the club requires.
Mikel Arteta’s side were in fabulous goalscoring form last season, notching 91 Premier Leaguestrikes as they finished just behind Manchester City in the table. However, the goals were shared around the side, with Bukayo Saka the top scorer having scored just 16 in comparison to Erling Haaland’s 27, while Havertz grabbed 13 in his first year at the Emirates Stadium as he featured in midfield for long stretches of the campaign.
