Mikel Arteta has reportedly held talks with RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko over a move in the final week of the January transfer window.
The rumour mill has been in overdrive over the last few days with it being will known the Gunners are in desperate need for attacking reinforcements before the month ends.
Arsenal are short in attack with Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka suffering long-term injuries. However the club won’t just sign anyone. They are currently working on bringing one of their summer deals forward, but it’s proving harder than expected.
Arsenal are willing to spend big on a striker this month after receiving the green light from owner Josh Kroenke.
The 21-year-old striker has a gentleman’s agreement of around £60m which would allow him to leave in the summer and any club would have to make an offer above that to tempt them to do business now.
