Arsenal are on the verge of completing their first signing of the January transfer window, with 17-year-old Norwegian midfielder Sverre Nypan reportedly in London to finalise a move.

 

The Gunners, keen to strengthen their squad amid an intense title push, have prioritised Nypan’s acquisition following competition from Premier League rivals Manchester United and Manchester City. Mikel Arteta has openly stated the need for reinforcements to maintain Arsenal’s momentum in the race for silverware.

 

 

According to reports from Norway, Nypan recently visited Manchester City but is now in advanced discussions with Arsenal. The Athletic’s James McNicholas and David Ornstein confirm that negotiations between Arsenal, Rosenborg BK, and Nypan’s representatives are progressing, with the London club optimistic about securing the talented midfielder’s signature.
