The Portuguese full-back was in scintillating form during the first half, playing a crucial role in Lazio’s dominance. Tavares initiated the second goal and delivered an outstanding assist for the third before being forced off the pitch due to a muscle problem.
The 25-year-old underwent medical evaluations at Clinica Villa Mafalda to determine the severity of the injury. Lazio released an official statement confirming a flexion trauma to the adductor longus of his left thigh.
