Fabrizio Romano provides update on Arsenal’s interest in Mathys Tel.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the future of Bayern Munich striker Mathys Tel, revealing that Arsenal are among the Premier League clubs monitoring the French U21 star’s situation.

According to Romano, Tel has decided to leave the German champions this month, opening the door to interest from several clubs. The 19-year-old forward has struggled for consistent game time since joining Bayern from Stade Rennais in 2021, making just 15 starts in all competitions.

This season, he has featured in only 13 matches, while being an unused substitute on 14 occasions—his opportunities limited by the arrival of Harry Kane, who has firmly established himself as Bayern’s main striker.

Despite being under contract until 2029, Tel’s desire for more minutes could lead to a potential January move. His versatility—capable of playing on both wings and as a central forward—has attracted attention from Arsenal, who are in the market for attacking reinforcements.
