Dawand Jones Undergoes Arthroscopic Knee Surgery

Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Dawand Jones underwent arthroscopic knee surgery today, to address a lingering issue throughout the 2024 NFL season. The procedure, confirmed by multiple sources, marks the latest chapter in Jones’ ongoing battle with injuries.

The surgery, reported first by ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, was described as a “cleanup” procedure to address discomfort in his surgically repaired right knee— another season-ending injury in 2024, when Jones fractured his left fibula on November 17 against the New Orleans Saints, forcing him to miss the final seven games.

Before that injury, Jones had transitioned to left tackle for three consecutive starts. Despite the lingering knee issue, he gutted it out through the early part of the 2024 season, starting eight of his ten appearances, including four at right tackle, as the Browns navigated injuries on the offensive line. He is expected to be fully healed by the start of training camp in late July.
