The Patriots met with Pitt K Ben Sauls at the combine on Tuesday, per Alex Barth.

Ben Sauls, a kicker from Pitt, is a 2025 NFL Draft prospect with a strong collegiate resume. At 5’10” and around 185 lbs, he had a standout 2024 season, converting 21 of 24 field goals—including six from 50+ yards, with a long of 58—and all 44 extra points, earning First-Team All-American (PFF) and Third-Team All-ACC honors. Known for his powerful leg and clutch performances, like a game-winning 47-yard field goal in the 2022 Sun Bowl, Sauls has a career 81.3% field goal rate (52/64). While his smaller frame and intermediate-range consistency need work, his Shrine Bowl invite and NFL Combine nod signal mid-to-late-round potential, possibly as a seventh-round pick, with a chance to compete for a starting role.
