Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya has offered positive updates on the injury recoveries of Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz, as the Gunners continue their Premier League title pursuit.
Mikel Arteta’s side remains firmly in the race for the championship for a third consecutive season, though they currently trail leaders Liverpool by eight points, with a game in hand. However, Arsenal’s quest for silverware has been complicated by a string of injuries to key attacking players.
The Gunners are without four guaranteed starters in their forward line. Bukayo Saka has been sidelined since December 21 with a hamstring injury and is nearing a return following surgery. Meanwhile, Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz are expected to miss the remainder of the season due to long-term injuries, and Gabriel Martinelli is also out with a hamstring issue.

Providing an update on his injured teammates, David Raya spoke on the Seaman Says podcast: “Bukayo [Saka] is doing very well. I see him every morning—he’s always happy and smiling. Kai [Havertz], I saw him two days ago, and although he’s just come back from surgery, he’s very optimistic.”
