Arsenal left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko could be on the verge of leaving the Emirates as Borussia Dortmund reportedly target the Ukrainian international following their failure to secure Chelsea defender Renato Veiga.
According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Dortmund have initiated discussions with Zinchenko’s representatives over a potential move to Signal Iduna Park. The 28-year-old has struggled for regular game time this season, with injuries and competition for places limiting him to just 12 appearances across all competitions.
Dortmund’s interest in Zinchenko comes after their pursuit of Chelsea’s Renato Veiga hit a dead end. Veiga was initially linked with a loan move to the Bundesliga side, but Chelsea opted to send him to Juventus on a loan deal worth €5 million, with no buy option included. Dortmund, unwilling to meet Chelsea’s permanent transfer demands, have turned their attention to Zinchenko as a viable alternative.
