Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney has been spotted conversing with Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers at a recent charity event, sparking new rumours over his future.
The pair were captured deep in conversation at Celtic Foundation’s annual gala in London earlier this week, with Tierney finding time away from his schedule with the Gunners to attend. Rodgers, who returned to the club last summer, worked together with the 27-year-old during his spell at Celtic Park.
It hasn’t always been plain sailing for the Scotland international it must be said, with Tierney yet to feature so far under Mikel Arteta this season. He also spent the whole of the 2023/24 campaign on loan with Spanish side Real Sociedad, mustering 26 appearances in total across three competitions.
Fans online have quickly suggested just what Rodgers and the former Hoops defender could have been chatting about, given their has been some talk of a possible return to his boyhood club for Tierney in recent weeks.
The gala event raised a staggering £420,000 for the Foundation, which continues its remarkable work supporting those in need and fellow Celtic legends including Martin O’Neill, Stan Petrov and Chris Sutton were also pictured in attendance at the celebratory evening.
Taking to social media, the Tartan Army star wrote on Instagram: “Great night for an amazing cause.” Tierney looked to be smiling away as he took time to appreciate the club who he still holds a huge admiration for even after all these years.
