Interim England manager Lee Carsley fielded an attack-heavy lineup for Thursday’s fixture, with Saka starting alongside a host of offensive talents. However, the first half saw England struggle to assert control, and just minutes after the break, Greece took the lead. Vangelis Pavlidis found the net in the 49th minute, with Saka inadvertently involved in the build-up to the goal.
He failed to challenge Pavlidis, and after the ball crossed the line, Saka went down injured, unable to continue.The Arsenal star was replaced by Chelsea’s Noni Madueke, raising concerns for both England and Arsenal.
