Andy Reid made his feelings known about Taylor Swift getting booed at Super Bowl LIX.
“She’s a good girl, she handles that whole thing the right way,” Reid told NBC’s ProFootballTalk at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. He added that the situation was a “tough deal.”
And with that, he praised Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce for the way he manages everything.
“She’s a good girl,” Reid said. “She handles that whole thing the right way. That’s a tough deal. She does a great job with handling it. [Kelce] I think does a great job of handling it. She’s part of the team. Like the other girlfriends and wives, they’re part of it.”
Swift was shown on the jumbotron at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, and was met with a ton of boos from the crowd. She just laughed it off. However, many have come to the singer’s defense since this happened.
Even Saquon Barkley and Serena Williams had something to say.
“I remember that they showed her on the jumbotron, and she got booed. I don’t get it. I don’t get why she was getting hate there,” Barkley said on The Howard Stern Show on SiriusXM Radio. “She was there supporting her significant other, and she’s made the game bigger.
“In football we’re all about, ‘How can we expand the game and make it more [international]?’ We’re traveling to Brazil, we’re traveling to Mexico. Apparently, we’re traveling to Australia soon. We’re trying to expand the game, and her being a part of it is only helping it.
And Reid is just the latest to defend the singer, but it truly shows how important she is to the organization.
