Exciting transfer message from Newcastle as club insider speaks to the media..

This summer’s transfer window will be broken into a few sections, increasing Newcastle’s need to have their ducks in line if we wish to strike early.

The first window comes between the 1st and 10th June, followed by a pause for the Club World Cup, with the window then reopening on 16th June; kicking off a potential chaotic fortnight for sides looking to avoid any PSR breaches.

After June, clubs will then have a clear run across July and August before the summer window shuts on Monday 1st September at 7pm.

A busy few months await, and it sounds like Newcastle United are in a strong position to strike.

Club insider issues exciting message

Earlier today, The Telegraph revealed that Newcastle are ready to step up their interest in top targets Bryan Mbeumo and Marc Guehi, with the same piece included an exciting message from a ‘well-placed source’ at the club.

A unnamed club insider has informed the Telegraph that ‘shortlists have been drawn up’, top targets identified and a budget set, also issuing this message that was relayed in Luke Edwards’ piece:

“Everything is in place, all the work that has been done on players has been finished and now we have to push the button and get those deals done. We know who we want”, revealed the club source.

They also insisted that Newcastle’s summer plans are “good-to-go”, stating that a “business as usual” stance remains despite news of Paul Mitchell’s imminent departure after months of transfer meetings.

Mbeumo and Guehi would mark perfect start

It won’t be easy, but moves for Mbeumo and Guehi could mark an incredible start to the summer should we pull it off.
