“Forget about my first UCL goal, I’m glad Arteta is working on to bring new striker our attack is poor without Saka, star Declan Rice urges Mikel Arteta to sign a Good Striker this January if Arsenal truly wants to maintain consistency of easily winning games

Declan Rice urges Arsenal to maintain consistency after easy victory over Dinamo Zagreb: ‘We need to keep winning’

Arsenal’s hectic January continued on Wednesday as the Gunners defeated Dinamo Zagreb 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

The win allowed the Gunners to climb into third place in the league phase of the Champions League ahead of the final matchday of the round, virtually assuring the North London side advancement into the next round.

It was Arsenal’s seventh match of the month so far, and it comes days after a disppointing Premier League draw with Aston Villa in which the Gunners squandered a two-goal lead.

Midfielder Declan Rice called Wednesday’s result “an important win” and he hopes that his team can take the momemtum of what he calls “a very positive Champions League campaign” into their domestic fixtures.

“What I learned from last year is that you need to be there or there abouts at this time of the season and we are at the minute,” Rice told TNT Sports about Arsenal’s league title campaign.

“Look, we need to keep winning games. I think the game at the weekend, 2-0 up [against Aston Villa], we drew 2-2 it’s a real kick in the teeth, we should be seeing it out but to bounce back tonight and win [is good] and now we go into Wolves [on the weekend].

“It’s been a tough month but keep being positive and we go again.”
