The game was heading for a stalemate before Luiz Enrique’s 89th-minute goal for the Selecao. The victory has climbed them to fourth in the qualifying table.

The 26-year-old is in the best shape and form in his career and he has made another strong statement with one of his finest performances for his country.
With Eder Militao out of the current squad (apparently through injury), Gabriel has the perfect platform to become an undisputed starter for Brazil going forward.
Brazil host Peru in their next World Cup qualifier on Tuesday night (local time). The Gunners star should play the full 90 minutes before travelling back to London.
