Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric is staring at an uncertain future at the club beyond the ongoing campaign.
The iconic club legend sees his contract expire at the end of the current season and there has been no offer made from the Merengues to further his stay at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Meanwhile, given how his game-time has taken a huge hit this season, speculations are rife that Modric will be moving on at the end of the season, with no shortage of suitors for him either.
Modric yet to decide
However, according to a fresh update from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano (h/t Madrid Xtra), Modric has not yet made a decision on his future as things stand.
The midfield icon wants to take his time and take a call on his next move in May or June and is in no hurry at this moment.
For now, Modric is fully focused on Real Madrid and wishes to help the team win more titles before the end of the season.
Once the campaign is out of the way, both he and the club will sit down and come to a decision together on the matter of his future.
No shortage of suitors
As mentioned earlier, Modric has plenty of clubs interested in signing him if he opts to move on from Real Madrid this summer.
For starters, the Croatian’s former club, Dinamo Zagreb, have made it abundantly clear that they want Modric back in the summer.
Furthermore, teams from the MLS as well as the Saudi Pro League would be interested in acquiring the veteran midfielder’s services.
But for now, no decision has been made and it will not be made until May/June, with Modric focused on winning titles.
