Manchester United’s hopes of qualifying for next season’s Champions League were dealt a significant blow as they could only manage a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth on Saturday.
Erik ten Hag’s side, sitting seventh in the Premier League table, fell behind to goals from Dominic Solanke and Justin Kluivert at the Vitality Stadium but fought back on two occasions after a brace from Bruno Fernandes, his seventh and eighth goals of the Premier League season.
But despite equalising with 25 minutes remaining, United were unable to find a winning goal against the high-flying Cherries and as a result, now sit 10 points off fourth-place Aston Villa with six games of the season remaining.
