Martin Odegaard is on course to return from injury next month despite claims the Arsenal captain has suffered an injury setback.
The Gunners captain suffered the injury while on international duty with Norway in September. Mikel Arteta later confirmed his midfielder had suffered a ‘significant ankle ligament injury’.
There had been hope Odegaard could be back in contention at the end of this month or early November with the player himself offering an encouraging update in his programme notes on Saturday for the Premier League clash against Southampton.
Footage also emerged of the former Real Madrid star stepping up his rehabilitation, running freely on a treadmill at the club’s training ground.
And despite reports on social media claiming the midfielder has suffered a setback that could delay his return until December, Sky Sports report he remains on course to return in November.
