Nacho Fernandez, born Jose Ignacio Fernandez Iglesias, is a prominent figure in Spanish professional football . Known for his defensive prowess, incredible work rate and enduring stamina, Nacho has become a reliable defender. Currently representing the Spanish national football team and the highly regarded Real Madrid FC, he continues to make a significant impact on the pitch.
Nacho’s football journey began with his debut for the Real Madrid first team and in La Liga on April 23, 2011 in a match against Valencia CF. Since then, he has proven himself both nationally and internationally. In September 2013, Nacho made his international debut for the Spanish national team, replacing his Real Madrid teammate Sergio Ramos in a match against the Chilean national team. They celebrated the wedding in the church of Asunción, in Meco (Madrid) and the event was attended by Nacho’s companions, well-known faces such as Álvaro Arbeloa, Álvaro Morata and Isco Alarcón. The couple has three children together and a fourth on the way . The first is called Alejandra, who was born in May 2015, three years later her second son, Nacho, arrived, and a year later the third, Guillermo, arrived. The couple welcomed a fourth child last year (2023), a girl named Lola . Little Lola’s birth coincided with Real Madrid’s stay in Morocco for the Club World Cup.
