Official: Real Madrid squad list to face Manchester City

Real Madrid are set to take on Manchester City in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinals on Wednesday.

The first leg, at the Santiago Bernabeu, ended in a 3-3 draw, setting up an enticing battle at the Etihad with everything on the line.

Ahead of the trip to England, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has named the squad list of players that will be at his disposal for the Manchester City encounter.

As expected, only David Alaba and Thibaut Courtois are absent from the squad through injuries.

Interestingly, Aurelien Tchouameni has been named in the squad list even though the Frenchman is suspended for the match at the Etihad after he picked up his third yellow card of the season in the UEFA Champions League at the Bernabeu last week.

Eder Militao is in the squad again, but is unlikely to start with Ancelotti likely to opt for the defensive pairing of Nacho Fernandez and Antonio Rudiger against Pep Guardiola’s men.

It will be interesting to see whether the manager opts to tweak his formation, especially in the attacking setup, where he fielded Rodrygo on the left and asked Vinicius Jr. to play slightly more centrally.
