RANGERS HIJACKED CELTIC’S DEAL: 40 G/A Premier League Striker Dominic Solanke REJECTS Celtic’s Tempting Offer to Play Under Russell Martin — “He Believes in the Manager’s Project Over the Hoops”.

In a stunning twist that has shaken Scottish football, Rangers have successfully hijacked Celtic’s attempt to sign Dominic Solanke — the prolific Tottenham striker who notched 40 goal contributions in all competitions last season.

The 27-year-old forward was widely reported to be in advanced talks with Celtic, but in a dramatic U-turn, Solanke has opted to sign with Rangers after being personally convinced by manager Russell Martin’s ambitious vision for the club.

Solanke, who only joined Tottenham last summer from Bournemouth, enjoyed a career-best season in North London, tallying 26 goals and 14 assists across all competitions. While Spurs were reluctant to part ways with the English striker, it’s believed they were open to negotiations after Solanke made it clear he wanted a fresh challenge and regular starts ahead of Euro 2026.

Celtic were the early frontrunners, offering Solanke a lucrative contract and promising him a key role in Brendan Rodgers’ squad rebuild. The Hoops had already prepared a medical and were confident of wrapping up the deal until Rangers swooped in late with an aggressive push — offering a slightly lower financial package but a clearer footballing project and guaranteed leadership role under Russell Martin.
