Raphael Varane of Manchester United had the opportunity to immerse himself in the world of Formula One on Sunday when he visited the British Grand Prix. The famous event at Silverstone drew a large number of high-profile participants from numerous sports and the entertainment world. Notable figures in attendance included Chelsea’s Thiago Silva and Roma’s Paulo Dybala, in addition to Varane.
Varane shared his pleasure on Instagram, posing next to defending Formula One champion Max Verstappen’s number one Red Bull car on the grid.
The French center-back captioned his Instagram Stories post, “Ready for lights out!! @redbullracing @f1.” He also voiced his admiration and enthusiasm for the sport after being granted entry to the Red Bull pit, saying, “What a sport!! It was incredible to witness all of the collaboration and excitement up close!!” Varane was clearly enthusiastic about the Formula One experience.
Varane, who has recently joined Manchester United for pre-season training at Carrington, is preparing for the forthcoming season alongside defensive partner Lisandro Martinez. Both players missed the finish of the previous season due to injury.
Varane is scheduled to play in United’s first preseason friendly against Leeds in Norway. The Red Devils have a series of eight friendlies scheduled before the 2023-24 season begins, providing valuable match practice and preparation for the team.
