Bukayo Saka’s excellent goal against Liverpool last week has been selected as one of the contenders for the October Premier League’s Goal of the Month award.
The England international grabbed his 50th goal in the division in style against the Reds, opening the scoring in our 2-2 draw on a day when he once again donned the captain’s armband for his boyhood side.
The goal came in the ninth minute of the top-of-the-table clash, when Ben White played a fine ball down the right flank for Bukayo to chase. He beat Andy Robertson to the ball, and a brilliant touch saw him step inside the Scottish full-back, before lashing an unstoppable blast with his left foot past a helpless Caoimhin Kelleher.
That was his fourth goal of the campaign, and saw him selected by the division as a contender for the prize.
He is up against Facundo Buonanotte who scored for Leicester City against Bournemouth, Andreas Pereira’s strike for Fulham against Manchester City, and Jeremy Doku in the same game.
His teammate Josko Gvardiol’s curling strike against Wolves is also a contender, while Alejandro Garnacho’s effort against Brentford, and Nicolas Jackson’s finish against Newcastle United are the other contenders.
You can watch all the goals and select your winner now until midday UK on Monday, November 4, while you can also choose Bukayo as the Premier League’s Player of the Month.
