Seth Curry also joins Golden State

La renewal of Jonathan Kuminga This has not been the only move the Golden State Warriors have made this morning. According to Shams Charania, a journalist from ESPN, San Francisco have also agreed to the signing of Seth Curry, who arrives on a one-year contract to provide some depth at the point guard position.

After playing for nine other teams throughout his career, Seth will play alongside his brother Stephen for the first time, whom he has faced numerous times but never shared a team with. At least not in an official match, as the two brothers did play together in a preseason and several friendly matches, but the younger of the two ended up not making the Warriors on that occasion.

Now, much more seasoned, he arrives to try to contribute some outside shooting to the second unit, having boasted a 45,6% three-point shooting percentage during the 24-25 season, which was the best among those who shot at least 30 threes during the season (83/182). This is not an atypical figure for the point guard, who has surpassed 40% shooting from the perimeter in nine of his professional seasons, a figure that places him among the most effective players in the competition.

This signing, like all the ones the Warriors have been finalizing in recent days, had been rumored for months, but the stalled Kuminga re-signing had put it on hold. Now, however, it’s official that the 2025-26 Warriors will come with an extra Curry.
