Thierry Henry has defended Arsenal forward after what happened against Manchester City on Sunday

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has heaped praise on Myles Lewis-Skelly following the youngster’s standout performance in the Gunners’ emphatic 5-1 victory over Manchester City.

Arsenal wasted no time asserting their dominance at the Emirates, with captain Martin Ødegaard firing them ahead just 104 seconds into the match. Although Erling Haaland equalised in the 55th minute, the Gunners responded almost immediately as Thomas Partey restored their lead a minute later. Then came the moment of the match—Lewis-Skelly extended Arsenal’s advantage with his first senior goal for the club, delivering a man-of-the-match performance in the process.

The 18-year-old’s celebration, in which he mimicked Haaland’s signature yoga pose, sent a clear message in response to the Manchester City star’s infamous “stay humble” remark to Mikel Arteta following their heated 2-2 draw at the Etihad earlier in the season
