Earlier this week, The Real Champs published a report stating that Real Madrid must pay around €150m to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen. In my humble opinion, he would be worth every single penny since he would elevate this already world-class team to new heights. To build the excitement, here is the potential Real Madrid lineup with Florian Wirtz.
Real Madrid lineup with Florian Wirtz
GK – Thibaut Courtois. While Andriy Lunin has done well to fill in during Courtois’ injury, the Belgian international is still the top dog at the Bernabeu. Having him back next season will be a big boost.
RB – Dani Carvajal. This is a position which Real Madrid could strengthen in the transfer window but while Carvajal is still able to produce his best, why would they need to?
CB – Eder Militao. Missed most of this season through injury but he will be eager to return to his best next season. Make no mistake about it, Eder Militao is still a crucial player to this Real Madrid lineup.
CB – David Alaba. Alaba played against Florian Wirtz when the Germany international first broke through at Bayer Leverkusen. Alaba is expected to return from injury next season, so he can pick up where he left off.
LB – Alphonso Davies. Wishful thinking but Real Madrid remain in the race for Alphonso Davies. If the Bayern Munich full-back signs for Real, he will partner David Alaba in the defence as he also has experience playing against Florian Wirtz.
CM – Aurelien Tchouameni. Providing the defensive brilliance to this Real Madrid lineup with Florian Wirtz, it will be Aurelien Tchouameni. The Frenchman has started 20 La Liga matches this season, becoming a true mainstay under Carlo Ancelotti. This will not change, even with the arrival of Florian Wirtz who is more attack-minded.
CM – Federico Valverde. There are talks of Federico Valverde being sold in the summer transfer window. This must be avoided by Carlo Ancelotti given how important he is to the side. He will interchange with Bellingham and Wirtz as a box-to-box midfielder, oftentimes drifting to the right where he is comfortable.
CAM – Jude Bellingham. Drifting off the left of the midfield will be Jude Bellingham. He has established himself as one of the best players in the world. With Bellingham and Wirtz in the midfield, Ancelotti is blessed with two of the best young players in the world.
CAM – Florian Wirtz. Wirtz is an expensive signing, if the Bayer Leverkusen asking price is to be considered. However, Real Madrid have the funds to pull off the signing and he will hit the ground running as soon as he is introduced to the starting lineup.
