As much, of course, comes just 24 hours out from Real’s impending showdown with arch rivals Barcelona.
Fresh off booking their place in the semi-finals of the Champions League at the expense of Manchester City in midweek, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops are set to turn their attentions back towards matters on the domestic front.
Ahead of welcoming Xavi’s Barcelona to the Santiago Bernabéu for the latest edition of El Clásico, Los Blancos will be aware that en eventual victory would see them all but secure the La Liga title, in opening up an insurmountable 11-point advantage over the Blaugrana.
Safe to say, then, that all associated with Real will be eager to see as strong an XI as possible take to the pitch on Sunday.
And, this afternoon, a boost towards as much was confirmed, in training.
This came by way of confirmation that first-choice right-back Dani Carvajal, who sat out group activities on Friday, was back firing on all cylinders earlier today.
Not only that, but also playing his part in the session was Thibaut Courtois, whose recovery from surgery on the back of his injury setback last month appears to be going as well as could be hoped.
