Victoria Beckham is getting real about the challenges of parenting under the public eye.
The 51-year-old designer and mother of four opened up about raising her children in the spotlight during an appearance on Today with Jenna & Friends on Wednesday, Oct. 15.
“How do you cope today reading headlines about your kids?” host Zanna Roberts Rassi asked, referring to Victoria and David Beckham’s children — Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14.
“Oh my gosh, it’s so horrible,” Victoria admitted. “For me and David, the way we communicate with our children is so important. I’m so proud of all of the kids. They are kind. They work hard.”
Addressing the many misconceptions about her over the years, Victoria reflected, “There’s been so many stories about me, so many other people telling my stories over the years.” Rumors of a strained relationship between Victoria and David’s eldest son, Brooklyn, and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, have circulated for some time.
In May 2025, a source told PEOPLE that “every time they finally have a happy moment, it all falls apart again.”
“They’ve tried to make peace,” the insider said. “Brooklyn feels torn. It’s his family and blood, but he’s always had a complicated relationship with his dad. A lot of their relationship has felt like ‘business.'”
