Victoria Beckham has admitted it takes “a lot” for her not to get along with another woman — a remark many see as a thinly veiled dig amid her ongoing estrangement from son Brooklyn Beckham and his wife, Nicola Peltz.
Speaking on Andy Cohen’s Sirius XM show, the 51-year-old fashion designer reflected on her early years as a WAG, saying she’s “a girl’s girl” who generally loves connecting with women. “You’ve got to be a real a*****e for me not to get on with you if you’re a woman,” Victoria confessed. “I love women, and that’s part of why I do what I do in fashion and beauty. I want to empower women and share my tips and tricks.”

Her comments came just months after reports that she and husband David had “accepted” they may not see Brooklyn for some time. The couple’s eldest son, 26, and Nicola, 30, have skipped multiple family events — including David’s 50th birthday in May and Victoria’s Netflix documentary launch — fueling rumours of a deepening rift.
The family tension first surfaced in 2022 when Nicola chose a Valentino couture gown for her wedding rather than one of Victoria’s designs. Despite public denials from both women, the coldness reportedly persisted. “It’s not a feud!” Nicola once told Grazia. “I mean, maybe people picked up on something and now they keep labelling it a feud?”

The Beckhams’ heartbreak allegedly worsened in August when Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their vows in a private ceremony — but failed to invite any of Brooklyn’s family. Reports claimed David and Victoria only discovered the event through a US website.
Meanwhile, Nicola’s parents, billionaire Nelson and former model Claudia Peltz, were once again centre stage, with her father officiating the ceremony.

Earlier this month, Victoria hinted at the emotional toll during a podcast with Alex Cooper, reflecting on the “changing dynamic” within her close-knit family. “Communication is key,” she said. “We always let them know that anything they want to talk about, this is a safe forum.”
Despite the distance, Victoria extended an olive branch by including footage of Brooklyn and Nicola in her 2024 Paris Fashion Week documentary — a subtle reminder that, no matter what happens, family remains at the heart of the Beckham brand.
