Victoria Beckham’s self-titled Netflix documentary series dropped on Wednesday, and while most viewers were hooked by her personal confessions, as one of the trend-spotters on the HELLO! shopping team, my attention was immediately drawn to something else – her super stylish patch-pocket wide leg jeans, her own Victoria Beckham ‘Alina’ flares. Naturally, I just had to go on the hunt for a similar look to imitate the former Spice Girl’s 1970s-style denim.

While skinny jeans have come and gone (and come back again) I’ve always kept a pair of retro style wide legs in my wardrobe, because I’ve realized over the years that they’re a true classic. They not only streamline my figure but also stand the test of time. A good pair has a sleek, leg-lengthening flared silhouette that looks just as great on a petite body type (Google tells me Victoria is 5’4″) as it does on us taller women.
As with many cuts of denim they can be dressed up or down and this style in particular goes well with everything from a silk blouse and heels to a T-shirt and boots, making it the perfect all-round wardrobe staple, and one that, along with barrel jeans, is still massively trending for 2025.
Wear them with an on-trend denim shirtfor your Beyoncé-inspired cowgirl era, or channel Victoria Beckham herself with an official VB “My dad had a Rolls-Royce” designer tee.
