Victoria Beckham has opened up about the viral Rolls Royce scene from her husband David Beckham’s hit Netflix documentary, finally admitting how she really felt when the moment took the internet by storm.

The 2023 series gave fans a rare and intimate glimpse into the Beckhams’ marriage, family life, and David’s football career — but it was one playful exchange that stole the show. In the now-famous clip, Victoria described herself as “working class,” only for David to pop his head around the corner and remind her, “Be honest… what car did your dad drive you to school in?” to which she sheepishly confessed, “In the 80s, my dad had a Rolls-Royce.”

The hilarious exchange went viral, spawning countless memes and cementing itself as one of the documentary’s most talked-about moments. But Victoria has now revealed that, at first, she didn’t find it funny at all.

Speaking to The Times this weekend, the designer confessed: “If I’m being completely honest, I didn’t love me in that documentary.” She added that her perspective changed only after seeing how warmly the public responded. “He was meant to have left for work but was watching the monitor in another room. I was surprised by how positive the feedback was with what I brought to it. David’s documentary made me realise how good it feels to be wrong. I like being wrong. I was wrong, and bring it on. I love that.”

David has since said in interviews that Victoria was “the star” of the documentary — a sentiment fans largely agreed with.

The couple’s on-screen banter continues to charm audiences, even as real-life family tensions play out off-camera. Just days ago, David posted a heartfelt message to Victoria after her Paris Fashion Week show, praising her “elegant, professional, and technically perfect” presentation.

The sweet post featured their children Harper, Romeo, and Cruz — who all attended the show — though eldest son Brooklyn was noticeably missing, fuelling ongoing speculation about his strained relationship with the family.

Victoria later shared her own family photo from the front row, writing: “I love you all so much… I couldn’t do it without you!”

While the Rolls Royce saga may have once made her cringe, it now stands as proof that even the most polished pop icon can laugh at herself — and the world loves her even more for it.
