We lose the game because SAKA was injured England boss Lee Carsley has provided an update on the fitness of Bukayo Saka, who suffered an injury on international duty

England interim head coach Lee Carsley has provided a brief update on the fitness of Arsenal star Bukayo Saka, who was forced off early on Thursday night with a hamstring injury.

The Three Lions star lined up in a somewhat experimental England side, with a very attacking lineup which also included Jude Bellingham, Cole Palmer, Phil Foden and Anthony Gordon – with fellow Arsenal star Declan Rice the only recognised defensive-minded midfielder selected to start.

Despite such a plethora of attacking options, England lost the game, at home to Greece, 2-1 – and failed to score until the 87th minute – but it was the substitution of Saka in the 50th minute that worried Arsenal fans.
